peace with nicene creed

Seems dishonest to sit in a pew by folks who believe it literally and completely, if you're sitting there accepting it as metaphor, as symbol.

But what else could it be?

What else could it really be, and how else are we meant to engage it but as a meta-parable?

It's hard to find peace with the Nicene Creed.

Can you help me? I need a good translation of "God is Love" in aramaic with a good font.

Your blog is excellent! Great image, great thoughts.

Iris,
I'm afraid this is about the best I can offer --

Very good resource for obscure languages, with Aramaic script and history.

Good luck finding what you need -- working with Aramaic isn't easy!

One more thought, you may find it helpful to work from the Greek text and look at how the Orthodox church handles the phrase as prayer, then try to translate from the Greek to Hebrew, Hebrew to Aramaic.

Those folks that take it literally, I wouldn't take it literally that they take it literally.
